Dear Expectant Mother,

First of all, we want to thank you for considering this very courageous act and especially for considering us for the special gift of your child. This would be the most precious gift ever given to us and we will cherish your child until our dying breath!

Let us introduce ourselves to you, we are Jackie and David. We met online 10 years ago and have been married for 7 years. Wow has that time flown by! We both brought something to our relationship, from Jackie’s organizational skills and love for trying things new, to David’s love of history and his way of making everything we do fun. We both like to travel to places we have never been before and will continue that with your child.

We have always wanted to have children but are unable to conceive a child. Family has always been an important part of our lives and we’ve always felt strongly that the love we have for each other needs to be shared with another. First came our cat “Rocky,” who we love dearly, but that was not enough. We wanted a baby, and since Jackie was adopted we knew that adoption would be a wonderful way to make the miracle of becoming a mom and dad happen. Jackie’s birth family is now an extension to her family and is in regular contact with us. Jackie knows what it is like to live in a wonderful, loving, adoptive family, and we will raise your child the same way; he or she will know that they are loved by many.

Our home is just the right size to raise a child and we live in the same town Jackie grew up in, right next door to the town David grew up in. Family is close by and we usually have dinner with Jackie’s parents every Sunday. The town has several parks and a bike path that we would take your child to for playtime. In the next town over we have a zoo that is great for kids and it continues to grow with more attractions and animals. Our neighborhood has an indoor pool and a playground which we will take advantage of. Living in New England we are lucky to take advantage of all four seasons. Some stay longer than expected, but we enjoy them all. We like to go to a local apple orchard in the fall to pick apples. The orchard offers hay rides, a playground, petting zoo and pumpkin picking if we wish. During the spring time they have a strawberry field we like to go to as well. Since David is a big history buff, we know that there will be outings to some of the historical places we are able to access in our area as well.

We want to thank you for considering us as the family for your child and we know that this difficult decision is being made out of your love for your child. Our favorite poem is “Legacy of an Adopted Child,” which is hanging in the nursery and is a reminder that your child would be in our lives because of two different kinds of love.
