Hello there – it is so nice to meet you.

My hand is trembling a little as we sit to write this letter. In part this is due to nerves; how can we tell you who we are, about our lives, our families and our friends all in one short letter? In part, the trembling is also out of excitement because we are so thrilled to meet you and share our story with you.

We, Tim and Christine, got married in October 2013 after first being friends for several years. We can truly say that we married our best friend. In 2015, our puppy, Chewie, joined our family. We currently live in an apartment, but this summer we bought some of Tim’s family’s homestead property and are in the process of building our dream home. We already have five goats, two ducks, and a puppy, but plan to add more after we move into our home. Tim grew up on a dairy farm, so animals are a part of his life and will continue to be. When our young cousins come over, their faces just light up petting the goats or chasing the ducks around the pen. Tim is a guy who loves being outdoors. Having a large property gives him a chance to use his tractor to plant a crop; we are now trying to decide between growing Christmas trees, pumpkins or sunflowers. Which do you like best? In the woods behind our home, there are trails for Tim to ride through on his four-wheeler.

We have so much fun together. Tim is the athlete in our family. His softball team was League Champs! He also enjoys riding his bike, playing racquetball, and playing basketball with his nephews. The most aggressive sport Christine plays is Ladderball – which she rocks at. However what she lacks in rhythm and coordination, she more than makes up for in creativity. She enjoys working on crafts, making cards and refinishing furniture. Together we enjoy fishing and kayaking. Christine also enjoys photography and much prefers being behind the camera than in front of it. Some of the favorite pictures she has taken include one of Tim and Chewie watching football and one of the rides at the county fair. When the cold winter weather forces us indoors, we stay busy. Christine curls up with a good book and Tim makes the world's best caramel corn.

Our faith plays a key role in our lives. Do you mind if we share our favorite Bible verse with you? It is from Jeremiah 29:11 – “‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” When Christine first found out she could not carry a child, she was devastated. However, this verse helped her to see that God would not have given her such a love for children and then taken away the possibility of her having one. He had a different plan for her life. This verse holds a special place in our hearts and our lives; it helps us to live our life in faith of God’s plans. We can’t imagine what this time is like for you or how difficult the decision you face must be. We pray that you discover what God has planned for you.

No matter what decision you make, you will always be the mother of your child. If adoption ends up being the right choice for you, please know that we would love to raise your child and would provide a loving, safe, and stable home. We have a happy life whether we are camping, traveling or just hanging out at home. Having a baby to share our lives and home with would make our family complete. If you choose us as your child’s adoptive parents, we promise to love and support him or her as we were loved and supported while growing up and continue to be today. Family is the most important aspect in our lives and a child would be the center of our family circle.

Wishing you the grace and strength you need,
Christine and Tim
