Dear Expectant Mother,
I believe that adoption is truly an act of genuine love for a child. It is selflessness that has no match, as a woman seeks out the best possible life for her child. I cannot imagine the complexity of thoughts that go into the decision making process you are experiencing, but I do know that it takes a courageous person to consider the option of adoption. And, it is through adoption that I have the highest hopes to make my life-long dream of having a family come true.
It is a humbling experience to depend upon another woman to help make my dreams a reality. Although I do not know you yet, your sacrifice would be the most generous gift I could receive. Should you choose me to provide a forever family for your child, I can guarantee my appreciation for you would be eternal.
I come from a very large and loving family, and I couldn’t imagine not having the opportunity to raise a child in a family environment that provides so much encouragement, opportunity, laughter, hugs (so many hugs) and unconditional love. I have been truly blessed to have the family that I do, and endeavor to give a child the same upbringing that I was so fortunate to have.
Although I am an only child, my father is the oldest of five boys and my mother is the oldest of five girls, so I have twenty first cousins and am extremely close with them. Both my paternal and maternal grandparents strongly encouraged the importance of family. We enjoy many family get-togethers, from summer BBQs and outings to the zoo or beach, to celebrating family birthdays and holidays.
I have two pets, a female Bernese mountain dog named Shasta and a female orange cat named Tabby. My grandmothers were both animal lovers, and that love has trickled down through the generations. I enjoy taking Shasta to the dog park or the beach, and it is always a blast to take her to the snow. Tabby loves people, and loves to snuggle under the covers.
My job is pretty great. I come from a big military family, and was raised with a core set of values that include service and giving back to the community and country. I provide business consulting support to the U.S. government. I have even had the opportunity to travel to a few places with my job, and am grateful to have been exposed to so many vast and different cultures.
One of my favorite hobbies or pastimes is enjoying both college and professional football games. I love the opportunity to get to travel to a college football game with my family on occasion, and I really enjoy hosting friends and family to my house for an afternoon of good food and watching a game.
Many of my cousins and friends have children, and I love getting to be an aunt to all of them. I am also godmother to two of them. I truly treasure the moments I get to share with each of them, and am so blessed to be a part of their lives and watch them grow. My biggest hope in life is to become a mother and have the opportunity to teach, mentor, support and give unconditional love to a family of my own.
As you continue on your journey, please take comfort in knowing that should you decide to pursue adoption, it will be a tremendous blessing to both your child and to someone wishing and hoping for the miracle to start a family.
