Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you for taking the time to consider this option for your unborn child. We understand this is a very difficult decision to make and you are not coming into this lightly. We both love children and have always wanted to be parents.
We met over three years ago when Sarah’s mother and Scott’s co-worker felt we were compatible. We connected right away and were married less than a year after meeting. We both were looking for our perfect partner and had prayed to God to bring another Christian into our lives. Once we were married, we knew it was time to start a family. We talked about adopting before we were even engaged and agreed that we both wanted children, whether it was our birth child or an adopted child. We have been unable to conceive so far and feel blessed that God has led us in the direction of adoption as the perfect way to start our family.
We love spending time with family and friends including traveling across the country to see them. Scott’s cousins all get together annually and enjoy spending time seeing each other. It is a great opportunity to see how much their young children have grown and changed. Sarah’s cousins have kids as well, with whom we are close, so your baby will have many new cousins to grow to know and love.
Sarah and I have strong Christian values and plan to raise our children in a Christian home where they will know the love of God and family. We include church activities in our schedule including Sundays, Wednesdays, small groups and time with the pastors. A child will be a blessing to us and we would definitely want to bless them with the traditions of family and being a Christian.
Sarah loves to bake, cook, and do needlework. She would love to share her time in the kitchen and teach your child all about her passions. Scott loves watching all sports, playing with and walking the dog and playing sports. He would love to share all of his passions with your child and include them in all activities.
We both have a love of books and reading is important to us. We would pass this along by teaching your child to read, read with them and provide them opportunities to read all the time. We would give your child freedom to be creative and passionate in all things they do or want to be.
We live in Iowa, in a quiet, well-established neighborhood, with tree-lined streets and houses with character and charm. There are festivals in the spring and fall including farmers markets in the summer and there are many parks in the area. We believe in embracing our community and supporting local businesses. These activities would be some of many we would immerse our children in.
We thank you for your time in considering us to be parents for your child. Your child will be a blessing for us and they will be raised in a loving, supportive Christian home.
Scott and Sarah
