Dear Expectant Mother,
Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to introduce ourselves and tell you about our family. We are Kendall and Heather. We are grateful that you love your unborn child so much that you are willing to consider an adoption plan. We have already been blessed to become parents through adoption, so we understand that words cannot express the love between parents and their child. Our family grew by adoption in November 2015 when our daughter, Berkley Rae, was born. She is truly our pride and joy.
We are from the great state of Wisconsin. We met ten years ago and since our first date, we have been inseparable. We were married in 2011. Since, we have experienced the heartbreak of infertility after years of trying on our own. We both believe that our struggle to conceive led us to this amazing journey of adoption. We know without you, our dreams of becoming parents again would never become a reality.
We live in a small town in a beautiful, three-bedroom ranch home. Our home is full of love and laughter, and of course, our dog Gia. We love to take her and Berkley on long walks and play fetch with her in our yard. We are lucky enough to live two blocks from the local park and five minutes from all the schools. One of our greatest joys is spending time with Berkley. We love taking her to the park, swimming, or simply just going to get ice cream. Family and friends are everything to us and we like to invite them over for cookouts on our deck, bonfires in our driveway, or gatherings to celebrate a Wisconsin Badger or Green Bay Packer game day. We think that our greatest responsibility as parents is to ensure that Berkley and any other children we are fortunate to parent, know God and know that they are loved by us. Faith and family are the foundation of our lives.
What makes us unique is that we are both teachers in the same school district. Kendall teaches at the middle school level and Heather teaches at the high school level. Since our careers are very family friendly, we have already started to experience summers off and long holiday breaks with Berkley. We are looking forward to taking Berkley and her future brother or sister to Disney Land, waterparks, camping, boating, and of course Wisconsin Badger sporting events. We now know that our life journey is to grow our family through adoption and we cannot wait to bring another child into our home.
Again, we are so thankful you took the time to learn about us. We can’t wait to meet you and support you through this journey. We promise your child will have the best life possible and always feel loved, protected, and celebrated. Our support system is amazing and they are just as excited about our journey to adopt again as we are. We can’t wait to bring Berkley home a brother or sister!
